The HightrailRun is for leisure and professional trail runners who compete on the attractive “Gilfert-Run”. A unique route over one of the most beautiful panoramic mountains in Tirol – especially the section from the Loassattel to the peak of the Gilfert makes every runner’s heart beat faster.
The FunRun is a shorter trail – ideal for beginners and hobby trailrunner. There’s a 3-person team and an individual classification. The course is the beautiful “4-Almen-Run”. Afterwards it’s time to celebrate.
The KidsRun is for our little trail heroes. The Finsing-Trail is a short loop around the festival area.

Sportevents with minimal waste and with as little environmental impact as possible. Not possible, say many. But it does, says the Hochfügen Hightrails Festival organisation team. With the support of Klimabündnis Tirol, the event was able to achieve an award as GREEN EVENT TIROL basic.
As trail running organizers, the mountains and nature are especially close to our hearts – they are not only our course but also our passion and responsibility. That’s why it’s important to us to be recognized as a Green Event and to actively contribute to environmental protection through concrete measures: Among other things, we use an electric vehicle for transport, rely on reusable cups, reduce waste and plastic, collaborate with regional partners, encourage eco-friendly travel through carpooling and incentives, and invest in a climate protection project, about which we report transparently. In doing so, we create an event experience that respects and preserves the natural environment.
In spring 2025, the Hochfügen Hightrail Festival was officially awarded by the state.
